  4. I think it’s amazing and it is has all of the tweeks I wanted done on the Modest Theme. When may I have it? πŸ˜‰

    • It should be ready soon. Either this week or early next week.

      • Hey nick,

Congratulation with this new theme… This is precisely what I was looking for!! And it will be a great addition to ET portfolio…

Can’t wait to get my hands on this one πŸ˜€

  5. I don’t see this one as differening visually all that much from the other themes in your portfolio, but flowable design is huge. Major technical kudos if you can pull it off in an “Elegant” way!

  6. very niiiiice i am looking fwd to trying this one out!

    • Glad to hear it πŸ™‚

  7. Elegant and discreet, I’m looking forward to the launch!

  8. hello
I hope, really hope, that i’ll be able to post portrait orientation pictures..I’m waiting for this since a long time….

  9. Allllllways the same :(.
Same colors, same construction, “same” colors…… πŸ™

    • That has been said many times in many other blogs.

However, designers may like doing designs their way.

Nick has been doing well, and these designs have their supporters. What we can do is to expect Nick to try something new πŸ™‚

    • This theme is completely different than anything we have created. We have never made a full responsive design before, and it is something that many of our users are eager to have.

      • I think maybe what the poster was referring to is the look of the background, i.e. white with the fine blue diagonal lines. It would be nice to have documentation about how we could make just a plain background of our choice instead. That light blue accent color gets really monotonous.

      • Yeah! Please include the Product Tour type of feature again! πŸ™‚

    • I understand what you’re saying (visually, many do “look” similar). However…

Nick includes the PSD files. You can use those and CSS to make things different, and mould the the themes more to your needs. πŸ˜‰

  10. I am looking forwarding to trying it too!!!

  11. Looks very nice. Also looking forward to a site design that is very social media friendly. Not sure what that would look like, but that’s what I hope to see some time. πŸ™‚ Love this site. All the designs are awesome!

  12. Staying up to date … nice!

  13. Teaser looks great! Looking forward in live soon! πŸ™‚ All the best for completion.

  14. Nice concept, looking forward to implement the adjustment feature for all your themes (if that possible πŸ™‚

  15. How soon????

    • It should be ready soon; within a week.

  16. Haha this one looks cool! =D

  17. My thought is that this will have a child-themes folder. I could see this be a beautiful framework for brilliant projects. Furthermore, I could see this stand head-to-head,toe-to-toe with Thesis.

  18. Excellent job! Can’t wait for the release… πŸ™‚

  19. Excellent – looking forward to this one!

  20. Great idea, I personally haven’t seen this done yet. Way to be innovative.

  21. As usual, It looks very nice blend of white space and texture overlay.

  22. Will it replace the function of handheld?

    • Because the theme is responsive, there will be no need to use the HandHeld plugin when using Evolution.

  23. Cant wait to get my hands on it

  24. Looks awesome. Can’t wait to use it!

  25. it’s awesome theme.
    waiting for this.

  26. Nice looking forward to a responsive theme. I the current world of different devices with different screen sizes this is important

  27. Looks great! Looking forward to it.

  28. Nice addition to what is already a high calibre collection of themes.

If you can integrate Click to Call and link to Google Maps from a businesses NAP that’d be extra cool and set the design apart from other responsive designs.

Also the ability to toggle home page on and off as required without recoding home page would be very useful.

    • toggle home page *features* on and off

  29. You are amazing! The responsive design has finally been applied to ET!

    Looking forward to seeing Evolution.

  30. Nick, you are always thinking and step ahead of most people. Your work is Awesome!

  31. That looks great! A bit flat, but great.

  32. Nice!!

Looking forward to this one Nick!!

  33. Would be great to see a dark version of this theme too πŸ™‚

  34. Hi Nick,
This looks cool – waiting for the release!

    a. Will this be working ‘responsive’ without the Handheld plugin?

    b. Will the images too auto-resize as per screensize?

    c. When’s the release?

    • HandHeld will not be required, as the theme already adjusts to mobile devices. Everything will adjust, including images. It should be ready in about a week.

  35. Please add ability to easily implement the use of adds like in some of your other themes.

  36. Your all Themes are superb, Nick, do you know, you are doing great Job!!! Frank to you, I want to be your assistant and would like to learn, how you develop this art, I rarely appreciate anyone on internet, but I have no words for you!!!!

  37. Honestly, i really like your designs – but don’t you think they all start to look very similar to each other?

    Do something different again please!

    • This theme is quite unique actually, as it is our first responsive design. In this sense, it is unlike every theme we have ever made, in a major way.

    • Nick includes the PSD files. You can use those and CSS to make things different.

  38. It really looks and sounds amazing. I look forward to trying it out for size.

A huge thanks and keep up the good work!

  39. Very nice, keep up the good work

  40. looking Great ,
But the category should be default one. not like the e-photo theme. if user have a large category and for blog, it will give pain. !
IS there any possibilities to make them as LeanBiz like themes.
Top and mid-level navigation for Page and Categories ! Vice versa and footer link with footer widgets like ” Aggregate themes ” will be very helpful !
Make this for everyone. and the theme from the Screenshot is looking amazing ! =)

  41. Looks nice, simple and legible. Ideally the company website or blog.

    • “Sizelle” What a name! I love it. polski?

  42. I am so excited by your designs and can’t wait to migrate my new online lit mag into one of your designs — BUT, will I be able to archive past issues, either by issue or author? Which magazine-style templates would you recommend?

  43. Smart work.Awaiting for its release.

  44. Great to see you embracing Responsive Design and can’t wait to try this baby out.

A few questions on your approach:

    1. Are you using a framework like 320andUp, Skeleton or Foundation?

    2. For the slider, are you using FlexSlider or Swipe.js which use touch for handheld devices and can scale for larger screens?

    3. What is the page load KB (js, img, css) for the smaller screens? I assume you are looking on the server-side for device or screensize? Which implementation of browser/user sniffer are you using?

    thanks !!!

  45. another theme with featured slider, getting bored of it, or perhaps, we can turn it off?

    • All of our themes have the option to turn off the featured slider in ePanel.

      • Could do with option to have fixed header images

      • cool, i was looking for an alternate theme beside lightbright (love lightbright simplicity)

  46. I actually really cant wait till this one comes out! xD

  47. A ‘need’ for many of my projects, and a step ahead of many non-ET themes. Thanks.

  48. I hope they can design a more elegant implementation of their gallery.

  49. It really looks great and it seems to be a good one to update my webblog !!! BUT I miss the FB-Button you are having on some themes. In FB time it is indispensable!!! In other words: what is your idea to put an unflashy FB button on the site – but flashy enough to be found!! Many thanks.
When will the theme be finished?

  50. simple and elegant..gud job

  51. Elegant as always. Great job!

  52. Just what I’m looking for. Can’t wait!

  53. If it does not have time for anything else? then that would be the fifth business theme in a row…

    • What 5 business themes are you referring to? I don’t see how you could consider Sky, eLit or HandHeld to be business themes. These are all very unique themes that fulfill different niches.

This theme is no different, as it is our first responsive design.

    • “… in a row…”??? NOT!

      πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

  54. Perfect, Just Perfect…

  55. Can the slider be resized so that it does not take up the full page?

  56. I like it. I have a photo website and have been looking for a full page wide feature slider like this. Can you make it so the background colour can be changed as well (usually white, black, grey or some dark solid colour) thanks!

  57. Nick I think your themes are very professional. But there is one thing that could make your company a step ahead of the others. Why not add a megamenu? and if it is difficult to add, please ensure that the theme will be compatible with the various premium megamenu plugins available on Internet. The megamenu is useful in all those cases where the customer has many links and many sections. In my opinion, would make the difference. thanks Nick Anselmo

  58. RESPONSIVE DESIGN – yeah, these is the way to go!

  59. Yes! the new auto adjust feature is awesome πŸ™‚

  60. Nice!!!

    When will it be released?

    • It should be ready in less than a week.

      • Great work Nick.

I do see, as you mention, different purposes for the various themes you have made available for us. They are by far better than most out there.
Do you plan to apply this responsive functionality to the previous themes published or publish new ones alike?
It seems responsive is the way to go, considering the various devices and screen sizes in use.

  61. Just started to look at some other responsive themes and themeframeworks. Will check this one out if comes out

  62. I would prefer to have this functionality with my existing theme, versus having to use a theme dedicated to this function. Any possibility of repacking this as a plugin?

  63. I don’t know what to say Nick about the theme. Just shocked πŸ˜€

  64. Perfect, Just Perfect…

  65. Have you ditched FancyBox yet?
If not, can you add FancyBox custom settings to Epanel?

  66. I’m impressed, Nick. You’re doing something pretty unique here – seen Studiopress doing similar (I think!) but yiu’re ahead of the curl. Looking forward to showing this to a couple of customers. What sort of customisation will be built in, Nick?

  67. How long till we get it?

  68. Any chance on you working on a Music Theme? There are some really poorly designed ones.

  69. Can’t wait!

  70. Hi,

I am torn between the Lean Biz theme and this one when it comes out.

    Here are my two questions.

    1. Can I go ahead with the Lean Biz theme for the time being and when this one comes out – would I have to start from scratch or will all the information be automatically transferred to the new theme?

    2. When is theme going live ( on a tight deadline πŸ™ …

    • When you switch themes the content behind your website remains intact.

The Menus you set up are saved, but will have to be reapplied (takes 10 seconds!)

The only rework you would have to do is in the control panel, things like to re-apply your site logo. All in all, I would expect all of this to take you less than 10 minutes.

      • Thanks so much Jono! This information will be really helpful – I cant wait this theme to be live.

  71. Another theme for the ‘I want it now’ list… can’t wait to see this one go live so I can take it for a test drive.

  72. Its looking great. Waiting for this theme. Hoping its blog style layout will look awesome.

  73. Looking one of this responsive designed to be used with blog theme like magnificent.

Not so big featured image (save some bandwidth and increased speed) and user can easily access blog posts using minimalist design like cards.

  74. Hi Nick,
Have just joined and yet to get my website up as I’m trying to work out which template to use! Looks like I might hold off for this one as it’s closer to my needs.

I think your work is great. But one request: All your sites have very consistent elements (very distinctive buttons / nav on image slider etc). The reason why after 2 weeks I still haven’t got a template I can use yet is that I have to try and strip all these distinctive elements out so my site doesn’t feel like all the others. I’m no coder and the process for me is slow and painful (and I end up hitting a wall and having to try a new template).

Please, please on this new template can you give us a simple option too. I mean turning off image borders and distinctively designed slider frames and nav so that we can start with a clean minimal look? Probably asking too much of a template, but it would be a huge help for us non CSS people.

  75. Nick, I came away from posting my previous comment worrying it was too negative. Just wanted to make it clear that I think these are by far the best wordpress templates I have come across, and beautifully designed (with decent support too). The functionality of this new template is just what I’ve been looking for, as the whole reason I am changing my website is to move away from flash so that site can work with mobile devices.

  76. Lookin great as ever!

    When is it coming?

  77. Releas this theme immediately… or I shall be forced to wait for it

  78. Wow that’s great!

Nick, will this responsive design also be available for older themes?

That would be the best πŸ™‚

    Keep up the good work!!

  79. it Looks beautiful
I think this one will replace my existing one.
    Your work is always amazing.
Thank you for all this for only 39$
    A french fan

  80. I have a different opinion unfortunately: looks like a lot of your themes.

Sky is the the only first “new” concept themes. I think you need to evolve your work and create something that look really new.

    • Most of us call that a unique personal style… if you don’t like what’s Nick doing then why posting ? Just buy your stuff elsewhere, not ?
Or better, show us some of your original fresh clean designs, we might like your work over Nick’s…..

      • Hello

First, i’m french so excuse my so poor English.

I just want to say that :

-ET offer a beautiful show of differents themes on his website. A customer like me paied to use an efficient and working product. That’s all.
        – I tried Deepfocus and Ephoto but i discovered that a portrait orientation issue unresolved couldn’t satisfy a photographer like me
        – I tried Envisionned (where orientation portrait is fixed (no one say it on forum !!)but…but…it doesn’t work properly on IE 7 and 8 and silence radio on the forum about that..

In fact, i’m agree with Andrea.
Yes, all these templates are beautiful but, in reality, there are many bugs, i’m sorry to say that..
So, people, you can say “youpi”, “greaaat” but i prefer moderate my enthusiasm and wait this “miraculous” new theme.

        Friendly, Michel

        Thank you.

      • I really not understand your reply, this is MY opinion about THIS “sneak peak”.
I also wrote that I think that “SKY” is an innovative theme.

Nick do this kind of post in order to have (also) feedback: this is my feedback.

Freedom of speech, freedom of opinion.

        • Ok, ok, all is perfect. Sorry if i didn’t understand what you said. Have a nice day.

          • Oups, i made mistake Andrea, i though you replied to me !

  81. I like this but I was hoping the next one would look a bit more business-like

I have a client who wants something like this: can’t find anything similar on ET

    Wish list:

I don’t always want to show blog excerpts on the homepage – it would be nice to choose exactly what goes where on the homepage – a recent posts shortcode would be good then I could easily add it if needed.

It would be nice to be able to choose when editing a page whether to show the homepage slider or a new static image at top of the page.

A theme with the header slider or static image that’s maybe only two-thirds the width with room for title and logo at the side would be good. And maybe not such tall headers.

Changeable footer widget areas would be nice with one, two, three or four widget columns possible

Oh and make it easier to add tiled backgrounds.

  82. Any update on when this will be available? It’s just perfect.

  83. Hey Nick,

Whats the ETA looking like? 20% of your traffic is me checking all the time…

  84. I am really looking forward to trying out this new theme. I don’t think that it’s so much about the look of the theme that’s important (although for me I like the wide format graphic look), it’s how it will react on different screen sizes that’s really the important part of this release.

  85. it looks very interesting …

  86. How do insert a different link for images in the home (header, no logo)
